A little Yamaha stack. A-760 integrated amp, T-460 tuner and a GE-60 graphic equalizer. The tuner is a bit :boring: but at least it matches...

That is a really, really pretty looking stack of equipment. God I would love a full equalizer that matched my CR-1040 like that.

I love that EQ. I paid out the wazoo for that thing on eBay a few years ago. I love the bouncy lights.

I also have an A-960II integrated amp, sort of the bigger, just slightly younger brother of the A-760. It is back to high operational and cosmetic standards thanks to some parts from a fellow AK'er.

My main system is heavy on Yamaha, and has a Yamaha C-60 preamp, EQ-500U EQ (for bouncy lights only - fed a signal from the tape monitor but no return feed into the amp), and a TX-530 tuner. The tuner is actually from their titanium series and really doesn't match black or silver gear. I need to break down and buy a nice black Yamaha tuner. I would do it if there were anything worth listening to on the radio...

I also want a nice matching Yamaha amp - something like an M-60 or similar. For now, I'm making do with a Kenwood Basic M1D.

My 11-year old daughter has a nice CR-420 and some final-generation RCA-branded Minimus 7's in her bedroom. She likes horses... :thmbsp:

Yamaha transistor complement

DID YOU KNOW...
In the June/July edition of The Absolute Sound, in the "Back Page" section, Nelson Pass (of Pass Laboratories) was asked for the biggest innovation in his field (power amps) in the last 10 years, and he said it was the advent of JFET transistors with superior transfer curves. He goes on to add, "Similar devices were developed by Yamaha and Sony over 30 years ago." He adds, "I have some of those parts now, and they are remarkable in single-ended Class A circuits."
