Calling All Yamahas. Time to Post Your Pics

CA 2010 integrated amp and CT 1010 tuner. I love this combo, especially when the amp is run on Class A.
I also have two matching integrated amp and tuner combos: CA/CT 600, and CA/CT 410II
Really nice stuff, to me they just ooze quality. The Yamaha gear of this era has a real nice smooth sound. A real Natural Sound!
I am tempted to go for more. I know where a CA800 in mint condition is hiding.

There never was a CR-3040, the CR-2040 was TOTL in that series. However, the CR-3020 was a sort of transition unit. It had the shroud type case like the CR-n40 series, rather than the four sided case of the CR-n20 series. It used the same speaker output jacks as the CR-n40 series, etc. So it was a sort of evolution unit.

I just bought a Yamaha A-420 off the 'Bay. Don't know much about it, but the price was okay. I've been looking for a good amp to use for additional speakers. My main unit is a newer Yamaha with all the DSP stuff; fun to play with but not much else. It's nice to switch from 'effect on' for TV then turn it off for music listening though.

Anyone know much about the yammie A-420?

Rock On,

cc, the A-420

is from 1986, and has 50 wpc and is "low impedance drive capable." It also has Yamaha's nifty variable loudness control.
I think you'll like it. 50 wpc is plenty for a second, music system with the right pair of speaker systems.

Coming late to the party, but my current Yamaha gear includes:

B-6 "Pyramid" Switching Amplifier (very interesting)
PF-800 Turntable (a beautiful machine)

Bill- Hear ya there! I can't believe how well that series of Yamaha gear was put together! I used to have a C4/T1 combo that was as nicely built as any mass market product I've ever played with...

I have never owned or used Yamaha gear untill recently. With all the good things I heard about Yamaha I decided to take the plunge and got myself a Yamaha M-4 power amp, 120 WPC, and a matching C-4 preamp. All I can say is that I am very impressed with the sound quality and great build quality. I may become a die hard Yamaha fan.

Just added a PF-800 to my system. Will recap, rewire with silver tonearm wire, high-end output wire and put on a new belt and be in audio heaven. Or, at least be able to compare to the YP-D71 am currently running. Also will have Black Gates in the phono stage on the CA-2010 to compare to the CX-2.

A few weeks back I added a CX-630 pre. Not completely sure I like it. Some days I do and some I don't. Could be the multiple personality issue... :)

I have a CA-600 from 81 and sometimes i ear not often ,but time to times, some noises (not music) coming out of my right speaker. What should i do ?

I love this amplifier. With low filter, high filter two input phonos,etc...the knobs are beautiful too.

Ciao.

This CR-2040 came in the door today, broken power switch and dead lamps but that is all fixed now. First time I ever got a case in three pieces. :sigh: But it is all glued and clamped, will need recovering, probably Cherry.

Well over 100 I believe and she weighs enough that I had a customer who was here to pick up his CR-1000 carry the beast downstairs - definitely hernia causing material. Here is a front shot.
