Can anyone ID these Fisher speakers? Are they good?

Those look like the old XP-56S Fishers I had back in high school, circa 73-74. If indeed that's the model, they are a 2-way design, and were a step up for me from my crappy Soundesign system.

But they were an entry level speaker, not terribly expensive nor competitive with its peers. It was all a high school kid like me could afford at the time.

What is the asking price on them? Honestly, they're nothing earth-shaking, IMO, and their best feature was the removable grille, where I could hide certain things. :D

They kinda look like the cheap speakers that came with my sisters Fisher MC-3000 music center stereo, one of these:

If there’s a wire going directly into the back of them instead of a terminal connection then they’re not going to be worth messing with. Fisher did make some pretty good speakers that used the same grill cover though, so looking at the back will tell all.

Thanks everyone. These popped up in a local estate sale ad and was wondering if they were worth battling the estate sale crowds to try and snag them. Seems like a complete crap shoot with it more than likely some cheap Fisher gear that most people don't like or want. No idea what they are asking for them until the day of the sale.

Looks most like the XP-56S that galactus2 mentioned.

I think the XP-56S had four raised panels on the grill covers, IIRC the ones that came with the all-in-one stereo from 1977 had three raised panels like those have (or maybe it was two, can’t remember as it was a looong time ago). I wouldn’t jab anyone out of the way with my elbows to get at them, still might be worth a look in case they are the real deal.
