Can anyone tell me about HiFiAudio?

Actuallly what is just as disappointing as this seller is eBay and how they bury the negative feedback and promote mostly the positive ones. They will claim 100% feedback on sellers but if you dig deeper that is in 12 months, but if you go back a seller might have a lot of negatives in the past but eBay still will show 100% on the buying screen. I think they have lost a lot of sellers with the higher rates and other reasons so now they are working to help stop the bleeding.
Not only that, but eBay actively removes legitimate negative feedback from sellers profiles if the seller gives the buyer a refund. No respect for lost time, frustration, etc.

I stopped selling there back when they started controlling the money. Paypal was working just fine then they had to get their hands on the money and bank accounts.

They just keep getting worse.

It was the Government demand for taxes on purchases back then when you desided to leave, now its much worse. I am going to leave ebay.. as soon as I get the two tubes I purchased last nite....

It was the State Governors who pushed to tax everything on the internet because the cities were not getting enough revenue from sales taxes... Anyone else remember the good old days when everything you bought off the internet was tax free ? I buy stereo equipment from two sellers who do not charge the state sales tax because those laws were never passed in their states so they don't have to collect them (HiFi Heaven in Wisconsin and Audio Advice in North Carolina, and neither charge shipping). When I buy something from Schiit in Texas (and when they were in CA) I have to pay tax and shipping and that can add hundreds of dollars to the total cost.

Actually, if you are buying from a state or business that does not charge you sales tax, you are required to report it on your income taxes each year.

This is not new, what is “new” is the law (laws) that require online sellers to collect the taxes. If you claimed the purchases as required you would already have been paying these taxes.

Well, let the A$$hats come for me then ...

Against my better judgement, I ordered a volume pot for a HK 730 twin from HiFi Audio Rocks. $95! It was way too big and did not fit. He kept asking for pictures and for me to prove to him that it would not work. I had to really jump thru hoops to finally get a refund. I messaged Ben from Affinity for Artifacts and he found me one that works perfect. I've used several kits from Ben and they are top notch.
