Can't post, Can't Edit, Permissions, etc... Please use this thread

Hey everyone, one of our fellow members inquired with me about the Emojis, stating that he cannot access them. Are any of you (who use them) having problems inserting Emojis into your posts?

If you don't use them,. all well & good and we don't need this to turn into a "pro VS anti Emoji" discussion, just doing some fact gathering for our Friend James to see if it's only on his AK access or if the problem is more widespread.

Thank You in advance for any info you can provide here....
Everything checks out! :bigok:
:needpics:

So at this point, it appears only @SuperjazzyJa is experiencing the no Emoji issue, I do thank all who have responded so far
These late 4 or 5 weeks have been a major problem
not being able to read AK because of my DDGO that I will not leave!
I have been having more time to myself so I will be less on AK!
Ps: All the other sites with the same software are working 100%!

Just had the same issue that I had before. Previously my son came here (he is not a member) and his page was showing me as being logged in (I was not). Also he uses a dark theme and after he came here, I got a dark theme when I went to General Audio Discussions on my computer. LOL. Now I have CacheBuster installed and it works. But before I logged in again today, I once again got the dark theme on the General Audio Discussion page. Hit the CacheBuster icon and it went away. Also had to hit the button in order to log in.

But that tells me that there is a cached page somewhere and it has not been cleared out. And I am pretty sure that the last time it happened was a week or two ago. Is nobody cleaning out the cache of CloudFlare? This is not cache on my computer because my son has his own computer. We don't share cache. So it is upstream from our router...

I just had a helluva time trying to log in - using Chrome (Desktop PC Win10) - I eventually got in using Brave Browser, and just now something changed and I can now log in using Chrome again. :dunno:

It kept putting a message onscreen saying "a server error has occurred, hit the back button, refresh and try again" - I tried at least 20 times.
I have had to use CacheBuster when that happens. Got a security alert today that would not bring up the login screen. Hit the CacheBuster icon and it fixed it. That works for me at least but I have been told it is not working for others.

Once again my responses in this thread do not show up unti I hit the CacheBuster icon. I just get used to hitting it all the time to make things work.
no idea of ot would help but you could flush dns cache if you haven't yet done so . it shouldn't harm to try .
you could also right click your browser and hit inspect then look in the console at the errors . it's a bit techy so like me you might not understand what it means .

An odd thing happened this morning. When I logged onto AudioKarma, I was already under @Chas23 account. I logged out and logged back into my account.

That has never happened before.

Well, well.....it works, now. Congrats to whoever is responsible, thank-you!

(we'll see how long it lasts....)
I am still having issues but when using CacheBuster they can be avoided. For example, when I came to this page it showed me as not being logged in. I obviously am. Hit the CacheBuster icon and now it shows the same page with me being logged in and I can post this response. I know that not everything works the same for everyone else. Just trying to put the information out there in case there is a solution coming and someone can figure out exactly what is going on. It is odd for sure.

I just refresh the page.... sometimes one has no other choice in the moment. But this was something else entirely, a 403 Forbidden Access. It started with Opera but I could still log in using Chrome, but eventually that stopped, too.

Refreshing the page does not work for me because it just goes back to the same cached page. CacheBusters requests the latest version of the page. Big difference. You might want to install it on Chrome and try it. Also does Opera run on Chrome? I use Vivaldi which allows the use of Chrome extensions...

New one today. This error occurred when selecting 'home' from the 'solid state' selection. Closed out AK and reconnected fine.

Absolutely impossible to post to this forum thread -
Across 24 hours, 4x different workstations, 3x different browsers clearing the cache each time, from 3 different IP addresses, finally resorted to registering as a different user.
All fail with "Oops. We ran into some problems."
