You can't refoam properly. Anyone who says they can will screw up the frequency responce/Q of the woofers. Orevox now charges about $80 per woofer for replacements....factor that into what you're willing to pay. Not a terrible price, but I'd certainly check them out thoroughly first.

I checked a couple of those links and I think I saw Carver releasing a new pair of Amazings for 2012, priced at a very high price. Now they truely have a reason to name them Amazings.

They will list at about $20-22K. He's competing with systems in the $100k range.

I bet they sound amazing!

Caver always like to do that come out with a product that would rival others top end stuff at much less than the competition. I always marvel at his posting on ebay of the tube amps he has been making lately.
