CDs and tube amps

A spellchecker can be quite efficacious.:D

My spellchecker, which I assume is part of my browser rather than part of this website, hurts more often than it helps. It thinks the (nonsense, to me) word "headship" is what I mean when I type "headshell", for instance, and "phono" becomes "phone" Every damn time. It's irritating when a feature is actually a bug, that never learns.

I think JoeESP9 was trying to suggest that spellcheck might be a good thing to use. Autocorrect is no fun, but JoeESP9 did mention spellcheck. Spellcheck just puts a squiggly red lines under words not in the dictionary. Which you can add to the dictionary to improve its performance. Autocorrect is a pain, and should be avoided, in my opinion.

Time out, I guess I am a simpleton, I always thought if you had a stereo and you loved the sound ------ end of story.
I didn't know I was breaking rules playing digital thru analog equipment.
As far as I can tell all my CD's sound super thru the old Fisher 500C from a 80's sony progressive dvd player.
As far as massive watts per channel all I need is 5 watts and the cops show up after 10 o'clock, 11 on the weekends.
I do understand there is always room for improvement and all it takes is money.
I have plenty of great solid state gear and some nice tube stuff , I prefer the tubes to play through no matter what I am using radio, CD or albums.
I could try to use all the right terms for why it sounds better but all that matters is it does sound better to me, much better, smooth and plesant.
When I hooked my Kenwood model eleven to my Dynaco st70 I just flipped a switch in the back and separated the pre amp section from the internal amp which I think is the proper way to hook it all up ss to tube amp.
You should only be using the pre amp section of the receiver for the controls, in doing so I end up with just 35 watts per channel which is about 32 more than I really need.
Sometimes we just get to caught up in the technical and miss the pleasure of the music, relax and enjoy the music.

Thank you for reminding me of the distinction. I just turned off autocorrect. :)

Spellcheck sometimes autocorrects. When it does IME it's usually wrong. However, one can always misspell the same word again and let spellcheck try again

Yea you I wish I just relaxe and enjoy I am hamperd by way to much knowledge and when every thing it right it's still wonderful but I am a audeo snob can't forget watt I know so I send way to much time analzi
I get you, sometimes knowing to much is as bad as hearing to much, it can get in the way of just enjoying what you are trying to listen too.

There is two of the on ebay right now. They run from $400 to $650. I just got mine $500, nice clean unit with remote, manual, and original box. I'm still building my system and don't/won't hear it until it's complete.
