Charleston, SC Trip Advice Needed

Anybody know Charleston really well? We are headed that way to drop our daughter off at school so I thought I would see if there are any cool or worthy vintage audio shops. How about record stores?

Been there twice, love the city...unfortunately I know nothing of the audio scene. Once when I was there I did buy a subwoofer off of Craiglist...for a friend (seriously)...LOL! So there's that option.

Enjoy Charleston! Definitely check out the water front area! Have you been to there before? We stayed at the Isle of Palms one time and drove into Charleston. Other time I got a hotel/"resort" right at the foot of the bridge via Hotwire, for like $100. Just a short cab ride into the city, that worked out well too.

I plan on taking my parents there, possibly later this fall. I used to live in Asheville, NC which was only about 4 hours from Charleston. Planning on taking an Asheville -> Charleston trip.

Anyway, hope you get some good advice here...all I can say is "Google it" as far as audio stuff goes...

Very old town. I would check estate sales.net before leaving and google on thrift stores. You never know what you might see.
