Thanks dnewma04. You are the man!! Just finished looking over the photos and doing his checkout. I'm arranging for a local pickup eventhough it is three hours away from me. That should take out shipping damage and charges.

Finally a 16.5 for a decent price. The internals look clean. Don't see any rust on the trannies and the caps look OK. It's got to be the dry heat we get in Cali. The scratch is irking but the price reflects that and the button, one will turn up eventually. Just hope nothing else is wonky.

Great job, Sam!!!

I'm going over to Tom's to pick up my G-9000 around lunch time. Maybe we can all do lunch??? Give me a call at work if you're interested. You can drive out with me.

Sounds good. I've got a 1:06 tee time so maybe I'll meet you out there. Say around 11:30? Sam.

The push buttons are the same for all Concept receivers, so with some patience and search you should be able to find one from a cast off unit somewhere.

Best regards,

Looks like the button post is OK so no problem!!

Good luck sam, it took a lot of restraint not to BIN with the rep Concept has built up.

Thanks dnewman04,

Your Karma Kuotient has gone up by posting for all to see and check. Although the 16.5 is a great receiver, I would have real reservations of getting it shipped practically anywhere. California to Michigan is a long way for any shipping company to toss around a 65+ pound package, no matter how well packed.

Something just as good or better will be heading your way, I'm sure!

Regards,

Bart

Bart -- And you only had to drive to Woodland Hills to get yours!!! But, Sam has good fortune on his side and I'm sure this will work out fine. He's wanted a 16.5 for a LONG TIME. So, now he gets!

Yes, Sam is doing it right by arranging a personal pickup, whatever you have to spend in gas and a bit of time is offset by knowing its not taking the UPS/FedEx/USPS rodeo ride!

So Sam, when ya gonna go pick it up?

Bart

I haven't had time to do much CL searching recently, but for a while, I was probably average 3-5 posts a day of solid deals for people, and I know that the Karma thing has worked out well for me. :)

Sam, this guy looks like a real treat, judging from his EBay feedback. If you have a law enforcement type friend, it may not be a bad idea to show up at the door as a twosome. My alarm bell is ring continously on this dude, FWIW.

I'll pray that everything is on the up and up, and it all works out great!

Thanks for the heads up. I had a closer look at his feedback and this one has got to be cash and carry only. I just called and left a message, hopefully I'll have good news some time this weekend.

Hey Bart: The guy was going to ship it to me for $30 but then I looked at his somewhat iffy feedback and decided pickup was the only way to go. I always have doubts about casual sellers when it comes to packaging 65 pound monsters.

Anyways, I have a 2 p.m. Sat. appointment to pick it up in Fresno. That's about a 200 mile one way drive. I think I will leave a little early and tour Fresno. Anything to see? Sam.
