Huh? MC2301 Tube Mono $30k per pair? This would be too steep a price!

Also, thought there was no pricing yet ... (stand corrected though).

My guess would be the same as the MC1.2k ..... around $22k .... :yes:

Was there a price tag on the product at CES?

Anyone knows and care to share? Not that I can afford it but would be nice to know.

Beautiful amplifiers no doubt, but very large, heavy, expensive, and powerful (for tube amplifiers). And therein lies my question, under normal home listening situations, why the need or demand for such large powerful tube amps when most people never use more than say 25-50 watts at the most? Hard for me to understand why that after over 50 years in the development of tube amplifiers culminating in the current stellar MC2102 with 100 watts there is all of a sudden a need for three times that power.
