Estes Park CO. The Elk Herds are not what what they were in years past.

Mt Evans CO. Mountain Goats, I was shooting a 400mm 2.8 mounted on a Gitzo tripod. The wind was blowing so hard at 14600 ft. that I had my wife hold on to the tripod to keep it from blowing over while a got off a few shots. It was the last day the road was open for the remainder to the season and I could see why.

We have a few friends out that way, and did Mt. Evans by motorcycle one year. Beautiful country, crazy road- especially on a rental motorcycle that's wheezing in the thin atmosphere as much as the humans are.

There were random elk herds on people's front lawns when we were there.

We try and make it into Colorado a couple of times a year. We have been to Gold Hill several times during our visits.

Not the best shot due to distance, camera and through a glass door, but while in Stowe a few weeks ago we sat and watched this little guy fishing for an hour on the only day the ice melted enough for him to get in the water. He would go in and 15 seconds later come out with a fish.

My lazy cat doing what she does best.

And every day she comes into my office (usually around 3pm), knocks the trash can under my desk on its side, and parks herself like this for about 10 minutes. Ya gotta love cats.

This used to be a lone little bunny in our yard a few years ago. We now have up to 5 different ones at any given time. I wonder if he/she grew up and brought relatives/friends...
