Dcm time?

Do you have a schematic on them Dr Morbius? Would be real curious to see it.
I do not, but I've seen pictures of them. If memory serves, the upper part of the speaker cabinet houses coaxially mounted Vifa tweeters over the standard DCM mids of the era (just like the Timewindow 3s) and the bottom part of the cabinet has another pair of woofers rolled off at a lower frequency. So each cabinet houses 1 tweeter and 2 mids/woofers per side - 6 drivers total. They may be a 2.5 way design. I thought the crossovers looked more complicated than the Timewindow 3 crossovers, which are bad enough.

Wow I did not know about those- Just when I thought I had owned every speaker they produced. I hope you pick them up and fill us all in on your impressions.

I recently picked up a set of blonde CX-27's I am very happy with! In addition to that I recently picked up what I thought were CX-17's I had them a week of so until I figured out that they were actually CX-07's LOL.

Question DCM fans..... My first set of DCM's were a set of CX-17's black, I Can swear they were a little larger than the 2 pairs I have owned since. Did they make different sizes over time?

you sure they weren't CX-21 or CX-27?

Well, I stopped back into the shop and talked to the owner about the speakers - he's going to take them home himself - I told him to let me know if he decides to sell them - they Also have a yamaha m-85 all checked out for $499 - it seems like a decent price and it's in excellent condition ....convince me to buy it.....

As a TF350 owner I'd say go get them because we had the rap about climbing the the TF ladder some months ago. Most agreed the #600 were the best then the TW series. After cruising for some time on both C/L and E-BAY I've seen plenty of TW1s a couple of 3s and that's it. I have never seen those 2s and of course the 'heirloom 7s' which would be the catch of the century.

No, he played around with them and really liked them - he's around 80 years old ( family run audio store) I told him I'd be interested in them - I bought his entire meridian system from him and all the wires, connectors the shop had left so I'm on good footing if he decides to let them go.

Well, was in the shop and the owner offered to sell me the time windows squared - he said make him an offer - do I need a new thread or can I gather info here? What is a good number?

You need to ask this question in the Dollars & Sense forum. All talk of worth, value and price goes there.

Not sure you will get an answer however. There were so few of these made, market value information will be next to nil.

Good luck!

Reviving thread - the tw ^2 are still at the shop in Naples - they put new fabric on them and demod them for me using a empire turntable, a revox b285 receiver and they sounded very good - they are selling them - I just bought a parasound pre from them so I'm not interested.

Sounds like a very cool shop!

They sounded good with a wide soundstage - the Parasound pre took all my stereo funds and I'm trying to cut down on the number of big speakers I have in the house - image.jpeg

Another pic - the owner of the shop passed away a couple of months ago ( 86) his daughter runs it now - he started out as a tube amp repairman and started the business - I've been going there for 25 years.
