Anyone heard of these? The thrift shop has a pair for 30 dollars in good shape. Also klh 900b's for 16 dollars and ohm frs 7's for 50 dollars

Better check the woofer underneath if you haven't. Those are similar to my PS-10A's, except they have an 8" down-firing woofer instead of a 10". The foams might be rotted, but if someone refoamed them before sending them off then you'd best grab 'em as quickly as you can.

They can get pretty damn loud.

those are nice speakers and worth having for that price. New surrounds for the woofers will run you $20-25

I've refoamed a few sets of ps10a, and recently some Ps8b ( drivers are front mounted in the "b" version ). Impressive sound. Cabinets arent as solid as id like but if they're not crumbling , they are fine. .
