Direct coupled amps

Just picked up a Toshiba SC 665 direct coupled amp and wanted to know if there is anything special that I need to check before I fire it up? Any help would be welcome ! Thanks

The important point is that there is no DC blocking capacitor at the input of the amp. Make sure that you have no DC voltage present at the output of your preamp, since this DC voltage (if present) will be amplified by the SC 665.
