Bando transformers

This is a real junk amp. I suggest not spending any money to get it working. If you can get a free new transformer, then sure, but please don't buy something new. That's expensive, and this amp will never sound good.

Actually, I bought a new torroid for it that fitted in the case with room to spare. I think it cost around $35. I recapped it and it sounds very nice. Good bass and quite a nice little amp all around.

hello can somebody help me resolve a little problem i have with my yamaha rx 397 receiver...when i power up i hear a clic and nothing happens which a resarch suggests the thermal fuse is blown...the transformer is a bando..(See photos...)..how would i bypass the fuse and install a new thermal fuse..like in this video for a different model.. buy a replacement tranformer if possible...please take into consideration that i am not very knowlageable in this domain..thanks for your help and suggestions...would really like to fix it myself..

A click doesn't sound like a transformer problem to me.... but best you start your own post about it.
