Would be kind of naive to think everyone will not be using it. The medical diagnosis is already a thingI hear you. The Insurance company is using it too.

It was also really screwing up my search page and results. So now with it turned off I get back to a clean looking page again. And I always have the option of turning it back on at any time. The other day it did give the correct answer for which DAC is in my JVC CD player...Which is also the same for people on forums, at least for me, I take very little as gospel, AI or "real" people.
At this stage of development at least, if you look at the text in post #7, it's pretty easy- perfect grammar and punctuation, overly formatted and polished like it's a corporate publication or something, and the content is generally shallow and pedestrian or purely stolen and regurgitated. That will change.
Determine for sure? You really can't. That's the problem.
I don't really take issue if an actual person used AI as a baseline, proofread and corrected errors, and "put some skin in the game". What I fear most is that AI gives an inexperienced and uneducated user the ability to fire-hose convincing content into a post with very little effort. It devalues the work of those members willing to take the time (hours sometimes) to share the benefit of their earned experience and knowledge, and enjoy the act of teaching.
Make no mistake- moderators will be working overtime sorting this one out. Perhaps a system were users can flag "bunk", whether human or AI?

Do you see a "Report" link at the bottom of every post (like I do at the bottom of your Post #107)?
I ask because am not sure if this a Subscriber only function or not. Know "Edit" is a Subscriber only option and the other 4 you see are Moderator only options.
By the way, the statement in my signature has been there for over 10 years. Seems more appropriate now than ever before.

Not a problem, AI lawyers will handle both sides of it and bill both.A lawyer in Australia has been caught using erroneous AI generated citations by the court:

Don't worry. If AI can't ascertain the truth, it'll invent a fiction to satisfy those who will believe anything.I looked away and must have missed something.![]()
I'm waiting for my perfect "AI Babe!"Soon, we may be able to read AI generated posts whilst streaming compressed files via bluetooth to switching amps. I can't wait ...
AI has ways to screw us which don't involve an AI Ken or an AI Barbie. However we will always be the passive participant. Always the one getting screwed. Never the one doing the screwing.I'm waiting for my perfect "AI Babe!"
For sure, it takes "creepy" to another level.AI has ways to screw us which don't involve an AI Ken or an AI Barbie. However we will always be the passive participant. Always the one getting screwed. Never the one doing the screwing.
