Something's nagging at my brain about the design of the pair on the left, with that bar of walnut at the top and bottom of the grille, but I can't place it for sure.

Only way to tell with things like this is to either shine a light through the front, or, better yet, pull the backs to see what's in there.

Probably an extension speaker but it's always something that like that ends up being a mega-score that's stuffed with Western Electric field coils. :)

Exactly what I kept thinking, though I'd go General Electric route.

Those... or what's inside, could really be a sleeper. Encouraging you to do some investigation into these... and what's inside.

Could be something very nice/profitable.....or not. Think of those as a 50 dollar lottery ticket, with about the same odds, if not greater.

Well, those are cool. Heck, for $30, I think you did well. Might be good project speakers if nothing else.

The smaller cabinets with the elac drivers sound really good . I am running them off a mc2300 amp and using a jbl 4645c subwoofer for 60hz and under. :music:

Those Elacs are supposed to be really good. Probably around $100 each. Maybe more. The Wolverines are like $20 each. Nice pickup!

Wolverine and one other name were the "budget" Electro-Voice brands. They're still quite good, and usually seem to be only distinguishable from the "name" parts by the label on the back.
