Do you drink and spin records?

Not since college.

I almost never drink, except on rare social occasions. That's partly because I'm gluten-intolerant, and most alcohol is made from gluten-containing grains, but also partly because I just never enjoyed it much; I don't enjoy the feeling of being drunk. When listening to music, I want to enjoy the music to the fullest, so why would I want to dull my senses and impair my full ability to savor the sounds? Makes no sense to me, but then again, a lot of the things that a lot of people do, don't seem right to me. That's okay; diversity is what makes life and society interesting!

It depends on the type of music :D
My sister-in-law has to eat gluten-free. You can drink red wine, no?? That's actually quite healthy.

I drink a few and the records spin me ...

If there's been some partying going on I'll revert to the tryout table or fire up the Squeezebox. Don't want no drunks queueing up my "A List" vinyl or anywhere near the good table.

Sure , only problem being that the volume seems to get louder the longer I'm drinking .

Plus a man's got to know his limitations .....especially when drinking .

I dont drink and play albums, only digital for me when I have a buzz as its just too easy to make a stupid mistake and I am not willing to trash a $700 cart. Plus when I break the seal those trips to piss are bad enough and the every 20 minute interuptions of Vinyl get old quick.
I would love to throw it all on a server so drinking would be most ideal, no 15 albums to file the next day.

I dropped a copy of Live Grape when plowed and it broke. But I still had another copy, in grape vinyl. Since then got another new copy.
I think drinking is OK, just stay away from large amounts of narcotics while operating a tt.

Lesson learned here
I dropped the needle on a favorite LP. It's OK with a couple of beers but any more than that and I play CDs or sing loudly :D

It's one of the reasons I like my B&O table. Never have to touch the tonearm, even if I want to cue up an individual track.

Got a few shots of Kentucky Bourbon in me right now and spinning some vinyl.
I know my limitations these days and rarely drink to stupidity.
Should I get there though just like driving I know that touching the stereo gear in a no no.:smoke:
