I agree. Not sure why Yamaha decided to omit receivers altogether.
Would've liked to have seen information on the CR-x020, and CR-x040.

Is it possible that each product listed their history page is a technological milestone, and everything else is a tweak of its predecessor?

Some great history and info there as well if you expand the dialogue. I was especially intrigued by the info on the FX-1 speakers; they were made to exceed JBL and Altec at the time.
I'd be interested to hear a set of those compared to other models like NS-1000m's et al.

How cool is that? The B-3 is real, apparently. I thought it was a myth!

I had to scroll through the list twice before I realized I do indeed own one item on there. I felt better after that.

I've got a couple of bits from that list.

NS690mk1 Speakers were bought by the original owner...kept them untuil 2015 when his wife calls the son in law to come and take them to hard rubbish - he likes the wood and takes them home and put them on ebay - i scored them and took them home. 3 trips in a car in 40 years. Yes they look almost mint. I recapped them and i love them

CA1000mk1 Amp i dont have the history on...but its aesthetically mint and sonically - well it sounds pretty good to me - but i am sure it would benefit from a going over by a pro.

My goal is to buy a modern Yamaha stereo amp this year - just to see how it goes. An AS700 or AS1000 type amp.

@brutal: That's TOTL stuff with separate analog/digital transformers. Many of the TOTL CD players were built that way during that period.

I only wish the photos were a little larger.

Interesting that Yamaha used the same model numbers for different products. For example, the FX-1 and FX-3 loudspeakers were also Electone keyboard models:

There's some mention of the B-2 within the B-3 write-up but not on its own where it belongs ...

They should have had that reversed, the beauty of the B2 as the flagship and the toaster oven B3 as a mention.
