My guess is that vinyl is driving the large scale electronics companies to create more stereo products. Yamaha isn't the only one taking notice.

Total market size compared to i=phones who knows.

$2 ear buds drove the resurrection of the high end headphone market.
 
Those gauges do look good!
I hope they make the paint on the black ones a bit less fingerprint sensitive.... And they really should offer a black remote too
 
These look real nice. Great to see digital inputs. This line of receivers and integrated amps are quite good for the money. Nice to see they have been updated.

I recently purchased the R-S300 and just this past week ordered the A-S500. Looking forward to comparing the two.:music:
 
Yamaha is listening which is what is good, since they've updated the controls based on user feedback (if I read their site right). The plastic knobs on an A-S500 were the biggest negative, and they've done something about it. SQ I am sure is the pretty much the same as always - and if you want a DAC that's a nice add for the price The A-S501 could do very well in silver.
 
Prices on the higher end units, eg 2100, jumped. Higher end receivers interesting too, 701,801, love to hear how they compare to the integrated amps.
