Dual 1218 opinions please

Do you think the Dual 1218 is a quality turntable. As good as a 1219 or 1229? Thanks for your input.

Had a 1218 here for awhile, and thought it no slouch. I dont think its a 1219 or 29, def doesnt have the platter of the 29. I actually swapped carts back and forth between the 2 decks while the 18 was here one day, and thought it sounded identical to my 25, just slightly hollow, compared with the 29. Obviously there are other variables there that arent being addressed, but as a basic a/b, that was my impression.

Back in the day, when we went shopping for a 1219 or a 1229, and then figured out we couldn't afford it, we ended up with the 1218. This was one of Dual's biggest sellers - ever. Nearly 1 million made.
