Dual 505-1 Cartridges/Stylus

I currently have a TKS 49S cart with DN 150E stylus on my Dual 505-1. I recently acquired a TKS 55E/DN 155E and was wondering if the latter might be better for this TT.

Depending on the rest of your system, you might hear a small difference, but not a lot. I don't even think there's any difference in the bodies - it's just the stylus. Even as far as the stylus goes I don't think there's an earthshaking difference. There might be a small difference in compliance or tracking.

You have both, it's easy enough to swap; try it and see.

(BTW, I have a CS 1268 with a TKS55E/DN155E)

Just had a closer look at the TKS 55E and someone has glued it to the headshell adaptor?! Anysugestions or should I just toss it?

Don't toss it. At the least, you can use the DN155E on your other cart.

Pauli: The DN155E should work a bit better on the ULM arm of the 505-1 than the DN150E due to higher compliance and tracking ability.
