Electro-Voice mystery speaker?

Can anyone ID this Electro-Voice speaker? It’s probably about the height of a two-drawer filing cabinet and maybe 16 to 18 inches wide with an EV volume knob on the back. Thanks for any and all help.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. The EV lpad looks genuine. Have you opened the cabinet? Lets see what drivers are in the box.

I have a few EV Aristocrats from that era, but have never seen one like yours. Have you connected it to your system and played it? It may pleasantly surprise you!

No, it's not mine (yet). Potential purchase, if it's worthwhile.

Did they sell the cabs too? Because judging from the fit/finish of the cabs it would have been a pretty handy DIYer. There's a pair, and they look pretty nice.

I don't think the EV knob is a volume control. More likely an Lpad attenuator for the treble or mid range, mine are horns.

I'm guessing a coax since it has the control., possibly an LT-12, which I like. Nice cabinet, but I'd say it's to small in regards to multiple drivers and sound quality? Best of luck whichever direction you choose!

The driver in there could be any coaxial aor triaxial but since its a ev knob i would strongy agree that the driver is a ev coaxial or triaxial be it a Lt -12 ( iaslo agree those are nice drivers as i had pair ) There could also br a 12trxb in there as well which would be even better.
As far as the cabinets go they look like accousti craft and very popular cabinets back in the day.

Found a pair of fairly large speakers in Hill-Craft (Hillcraft?) cabinets with the following innards: D130 woofers, 075 tweeters, and N2400 crossovers. Anyone know if these components are original in some way or if these are custom cabinets of some sort? Signs point toward these being...
