Empire Thread of Inductance & Resistance for 2000 style bodies

In that vein, I have it easy with my BICs because the headshell, itself, is adjusted with an eccentric screw which changes the headshell angle and thus, the cartridge/VTA/SRA angles. I don't have to mess with shims or the arm wand angle.

One of BIC's best features those engineers came up with with the aid of Voice of Music engineers.

That is a well written and even tempered review. It just missed, "Highly Recommended!" at the end. Could that have been Julian Hirsch?

With respect to VTA with clip-mount cartridges, I'm with you on doing whatever's necessary to get the bottom edge of the stylus grip parallel to the record surface, at least as a starting point. This could mean shimming/wedging the clip, raising/lowering the arm, raising/lowering the rubber mat, or whatever clever idea comes up.

Why do I now have visions of mounting all platters on a lathe and turning them down so I can get some increased vta? Most of the tables I have don’t have adjustable tone arm height. Plus I could use extra thick mat if I have to go the other way.

Sounds very nice, getting reasonable in Japan again. Getting sidetracked in my testing again, Sansui tape deck like brand new and a Sansui X501l cd player.
Have to get back to the 9 and the T , there very close, I just get feeling the 9s just got a bit more detail and presence or depth . Probably the L.AC. , just gives it a bit extra , reminds me of a 4000 without that extra bit of low mid and bass .

Those Holdpeak multi meters are pretty good nice and snappy , might get it's big brother for other purposes.
