End table speakers?

[dd123]

Does anybody recognize these speakers? There isn't a name or model number. Are they keepers?

Harman Kardon 50's, missing the grille cloth

Hey, thanks. Looks like something from the sixties. I didn't know HK did speakers. Maybe they never caught on?

Cheap plastic crap from an early/mid 70's all in one.

That design was popular for a bit with a few manufacturers. Some were better than others FWII.

I seem to remember BIC speakers like that.

Agreed, i'm quite sure that i've had a pair identical to those posted, they were entirely plastic cabinets and hardly worth the time it took me to carry them to the dumpster.

However, i'm well aware that there were similar models from some makers that were much much better build and sound quality.

My WAG is that these plastic versions were a cheap copy of one of the better versions, possibly BIC as suggested above.

Zenith also did similar designs, only with metal and/or wood cabs.

Weren't those part of the 'circle of sound' series by Magnavox? Or was it Zenith?
