EPI 200c's

I have a chance to get EPI 200c's or Advent Original Large. I'm leaning towards the EPI's but looking for opinions. The EPI's are from original owners and look nice in the pictures and refoamed.
Thanks

I have had 5 pairs of Advent speakers: OLA, NLA, Advent/1, Legacy II, and Baby III. All recapped and refoamed. The only one I kept is the OLA, and it is in my garage.

I have 5 pairs of EPI/Epicure speakers: 20+, 70, 100, 120B, and 150. I still need to restore the 120B and 150, but they still sound great. I regularly listen to my 20+ and 100. I have no plans on getting rid of any of them.

I have not heard the EPI 200C, but I would likely choose that over the OLA if the price is similar. The OLA is a great rock speaker that works well to play loud. But the EPI speakers edge it out for all other kinds of music in the house and office.

I had a pair of the 200C's for a little while. Great sounding speakers and had that fancy passive radiator they had designed for I think was the last iteration of the 200's? I replaced the original cap with a ClarityCap, refoamed the woofer, put new terminals on them, dolled up the cabinets and called it good. Original grills and emblems were good to go, also. Definitely a nice happy average larger than bookshelf speakers. I would have tp prefer them over all the various Large Advents I've owned over the last 17 years. OLA's, NLA's, 5012's, & 25th Anniversary versions. But that's just me.
