Don't forget 2x 22 ohm 10 watt resistors and the .065MH inductor for the compensation network.

The resistors can also be found on ebay/etc.
The network goes in series/+ purple wire between the l-pad and the Heil.
The reasoning for me was at the time he couldn’t find a quality 4 ohm l- pad
I found them kinda of late in the game.
I have already assembled my crossovers, and I figured putting them in the bright position I’m good
I like being able to fine-tune both drivers mid and Heil.
In my opinion, all speakers should have their ability to do this, they did for decades, and they got away from that.
My Infinity RS iiia also have adjustments for both mid and tweet.
Why they’ve gotten away from that, just blows my mind given the wide variety of driving components, listening rooms, etc.

If he could tame the tweeter and the mid range they would fit in way more many peoples systems
The so-called room, correction that everyone’s hired a kite on basically is doing the same thing
Why not give a person the ability with a simple two channel system in 2924?.

I think I'm cursed or this set of speakers are. The speakers were delivered today and I unbox them. Connect the first woofer and it's too big. It's the DS270-8 10", shouldn't be a problem. Spec sheet says 10.63 overall diameter, mounting area for the woofer is exactly 10 1/8". I'm going to have to router out a 1/2" to make it work. To add on top of that, I order 5 1/4" - 6" adapter ring for the mid. Ring is too damn big. I'm about to cut my losses, get a refund and send these up the road. It's been one thing after another with these speakers. This set came with no port but say they're the rock monitor on the l pad and badge on cover. Is it some kind of special set or I wonder if someone messed with it and built a new front piece.
OK-the Designer Series woofers won't sit in the cutout. Use the P.E. gasket tape in the stock cutout to level it with the baffle. The center the woofer in the cutout and screw down. No big deal!
All the 3’s have the same woofer cut out They seal perfectly-as the woofers have their own gasket as well.
The designer series were made to sit over the hole. They’re not made to be recessed. Look at their frames.
FIY some rock monitors were made sealed. Also no big deal. In facy-that's one less thing you have to do!! These woofers sound much better sealed. Relax-it will work out. As far as an adapter, you may have to improvise-Masonite etc would work fine. Or thin plywood and a jigsaw. You could also have Tap Plastic etc make you adapters. It really should not be that difficult.
As far as sending them up the road-that's up to you obviously. A project like this requires some patience. It’s the odd project that’s going to go off without a hitch.
Believe me, I’ve been working with speakers for years. DIY. You’re inevitably going to run into issues that’s part of the journey.
Or maybe you just decide to buy a premade speaker and go on with life.
Whatever…
Maybe relax a few days and revisit it later….
