exactly : that comment was meant for someone else : and you are right : you either hear the difference or you don't .....but the difference is objectively there or not ...its not you "believe" you hear a difference. .......difference being : for most humble beings : $100-200 is a chunk of change out of the audio budget that could be put to better use if the claimed benefits are mostly placebo....... if I was shown ANY evidence that these things make a difference I might be more willing to shell the dough ......someone mentioned advertisements that once showed the difference.....I would definitely be interested in seeing them .....if it makes an audible difference I would definitley shell the dough .....but at this point, for the casual observer, there is no difference between the claims being made and the claims of some cable manufacturers ............I guess I am stubborn : but thus far, anything that is so obviously beneficial in audio has been measured , explained and shared .......if clamps are so beneficial SOMEBODY has to have some evidence somewhere .....and having said that , I don't doubt there is a measureable difference : but the difference also has to be humanly audible in a common listening set up ......ie signal to noise of 95db is measureable ....but it aint audible
