Hi All.

Looking for the 2SC1708 transistors for an F2436 board in a 9090. IS there an equivalent recommended I could purchase at Digi-key?

Thanks,

Gary

2SC1708 - 90v - 50mA - 200mW - B=250 - ft=150 - TO-92 case

The Zetex ZTX694B is a very high-gain device which works great for differential pair transistors if you need an NPN. The problem with using it in the 9090 Sansui is that the mounting holes on the driver board are all lined up in a row, and the board expects a device with the collector as the center pin. The Zetex transistors have the base as the center pin.

If you're willing to bend the leads around so they make it to the proper hole for soldering, they will work fine. Otherwise, I'd have to recommend that you look at the Fairchild KSC1845, available at Mouser.

Thanks EchoWars.

I ordered the Zetex along with several other parts I needed. Hopefully, that will do the trick.

I really appreciate your help.

Download the data sheet for the Zetex parts and properly identify the leads before installation. Get it right the first time.
