Fargo

But so Effective!
- he just Halted and will NEVER Catch Fire there ...

I'm loving how this show shifted location and the animation sequences. Surely " I Can Help " is a nod to " I am Groot."

Perhaps the animation and U.F.O. is a nod to Season 2 where a U.F.O. was sighted on several occasions?

There's supposed to be a lot of easter eggs for Coen brother fans. Even though I've seen their movies I miss the eggs. The NYT has a great review after each episode.

Well okay then, as far as accidental death scenes go, that one was even more implausible than the phone cord strangulation scene in "Detour".

I remember an opening of HBO'S 6 Feet Under where a woman was standing in her backyard drinking coffee and a part from a passing Airplane comes crashing down on her. Very similar.

This is the series that had several prominent UFO sightings in a season. You're not supposed to take this show *that* serious.

I was thinking of bailing, but the characters are growing on me. Ewan McGregor arguing with himself as both of his characters borders on genius.

I was just starting to look forward to Ray and Nikki kicking ass, (with her as the brains of course), then Ray goes and dies, not sure where it's going from here but it's getting interesting.

Did anyone else catch the quick Streetcar reference when Emmit yelled out "Stella" as his wife was leaving him? :rflmao:

Nice cameo of "Mr. Wrench" on the prison bus tonight. Things didn't turn out to well for him after Season 1 after all.

I'm enjoying the third season a great deal.

Same premise of course as in the past two series and the movie.

Naive Minnesotan gets caught in some dealings with shady underworld out of towners, to find them-self out of their depth and in a load of trouble. Local small-town cop doggedly investigates some seemingly disparate clues.

It's still a winner with the twists and turns....and the characters. "You chain up the phone book?"....."yah, don't cha remember the 70's?"

Last night's episode was the best yet. Mr. Wrench made more than just a cameo. With the time-shift, will he and Nikki have parted ways or has he found a new partner? The hunt/chase story in the woods was brilliant.

The part in the bowling alley reminded me of a mash-up between Twin Peaks and The Big Lebowski, with a strong nod to Fargo the movie.
