The speaker weighs about 20-30lbs I think from holding it compared to the weights I lift with.

I think I'm going to hang on to the Jensen for a while and atleast see how it sounds. A good point was made that it probably won't lose any value if I keep it for a bit. :yes:

As long as you run it through the crossover first, there shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you keep the power level within proper tolerance.

I'd sell that speaker and use the $$$ to finance the restoration.
Unless someone experienced chimes in that it's THAT good.

I've heard it said that one reason why the G610 is so rare is that it cost $100 more than the then-current 604 variant, but the 604 sounded better. I've heard 604s, but never a G610, so I'm going on hearsay here.

Thanks I'm gonna run it off my 2245 unless that would be too much. I just want to make sure it works. Would polarity be an issue? I wouldn't think so.

Don't crank it all the way up. The crossover input terminals should be marked as to polarity.

Terminals are marked 123? I think 3 is negative.

That should get you hooked up.

Don't wash those tubes with water, you'll wipe away any markings on the glass. Carefully use a dry, used dryer sheet, that will usually let you clean the glass without destroying any markings.

As for cleaning metals parts, painted parts and tags you may want to try a product called Flitz. I bought it at the local Ace, it is where they keep the Never-Dull. This stuff is like a super fine rubbing compound but polymer based. It does a great job and is very gentle.

Oh yeah, she's looking much better. :thmbsp: Yeah, definitely take your time on cleaning the tubes, I'd set those aside & make that a completely seperate task from cleaning & refurbing the chassises. :yes:

Cleaned up nicely and I didn't have to use any scratch cover up. Just cleaned it. I wil be puting in new insulation thursday.
