Ahhh, Yes, your Adcom is most unusual. You have to two selectors! One for 'listening' - this is the source you want to hear on the PL amp. Other selector is for Recording - this is the source sent to the Tape Out. Just make sure you have the Record Selector set to the source you want to send to the Kenwood.

Yes, it would be a bad idea to split the main out. This would make a mess of your volume controls and you'd have tone controls in tandem. In short, you'd be putting the signal through two pre-amps and that's always a bad idea.

By connecting the way I recommend (Tape Out on Adcom to Aux IN on Kenwood) you can play the same signal on all of your speakers regardless of source. That is, suppose you wanted to listen to vinyl or FM. You only have to connect your TT to the Adcom and the signal would also be available on the Kenwood. (You must Record Select phono and listen select phono in this case, however.)

You know, I just got to thinking: What kind of speakers would God have?
And then, it occurred to me: God doesn't need speakers. He's already got Mozart, Caruso, Joplin, Hendrix, Pavaratti, Horrowitz and all of the dead greats for a live performance any time he wants. He's probably letting the Rolling Stones live as long as he has, despite their best efforts to join him, because he can't stand Mick Jagger.
I'll bet Ham, Shem and Japeth are headed to God's place tonight for a bit of Buddy Rich and Maynard Ferguson live (in the performing sense) on the back patio.
