Gear rack/stands

Built for my TT with a marble top. Added shelves for the 1250 and Fisher 400.
Hello all. I really love the open horizontal racks made by timber nation, fern and Roby and butcher block acoustics but alas they are all about $900 to twice that. Does anyone have a NON diy option for something similar, I have search but can’t seem to find anything. But I have to believe there is something between the cheap particle board target rack I currently using and the beautiful ones in the pics below. Thanks in advance for any suggestions
thought I’d add that this one from an old post looks great but not sure of make or cost

My Flexi Rack - To make it look more professionally made, I covered the threaded rods with a chrome shower curtain pipe. It was a little tough to cut, so I took it to the hardware store with my dimensions. They cut it for me on their pipe cutting tool for a few dollars. Worked well, and looks better than bare rods. To prevent it from cutting into the wood, I put a large fender washer on the top and bottom.
I glued two pieces of 3/4 inch MDF together, routed the edges to make it look finished, then painted with "stone paint" from a spray can. Then put it together like a Flexi rack.

I know you said no DIY, but my wife and I made this window bench for our dogs with minimal effort and skill. All of the wood was cut at Home Depot to our measurements and all we did was screw them together with a power drill and stain. Total cost was under $100 and took one weekend. You can easily sketch out what you want and they’ll cut it to size.

Not yet ... but thanks for the heads up! I think that as long as I put something pliable/absorbant under each bottom leg, it will do the trick nicely. Thanks again.

I recently got a Salamander Synergy rack with castors and makes getting behind it so much easier, especially with how heavy my gear is .

Rack I just finished building for my vinyl and TT
I have the same rack in walnut with black pillars but no doors. I had to cut the rear back panel in half on the left to accommodate the depth of the multichannel amp.
Nice, I really like it , lots of space for all my gear , looks great and the castors make it easy for in our work behind my gear if needed .
P.S. mine doesn’t have a back either and I prefer it this way so my gear can breath better and easy access.

Maybe posted before but a simple 4 square ikea kallax with the center divider pulled out for receiver. Gives me room for CD player eventually

Just bought the maple one...
Should be arriving Tuesday. I'm going to fill the poles with sand and caulk it sealed as needed so will be a couple of days before I set it up.
I also bought one of these with an extra 7" shelf (VTI 34000):
I have a black one and with sand and steel shot in the poles it's killer. Super bass punch and holds some serious weight.

Me too. Both racks were supposed to arrive today but got delayed til tomorrow. I can't express how excited I am to finally have a stable rack for my PF-800. I haven't spent enough time with the AT-33ml/occ cart since I first put on it over a year ago.

Put the Monoprice rack together:
Each pole has a 3/4 top layer of sand and then a bottom 1/4 of steel shot bb's. Caulked both top and bottom with foam caps to seal and occupy empty space. Honestly when I was done it probably weighed between 75 to 100 lbs. It's solid with a nice thud when you knock on the poles. My only beef is the goofy black top bolts you see. Would look much better counter sunk with silver bolts. Otherwise for the price it's a sweet little legit rack. I also don't see why you couldn't simply buy two racks, use one to add an extra shelf to the other and then use the remaining pieces for nice amp stands. Tomorrow I'll load it up and level it. I'm really looking forward to (not) hearing it.

I prefer to make my own racks. The first one that I made was many years ago. I used left over construction lumber (2x4 and 2x6, plus some 3/4 plywood for the shelf inserts). It took a weekend to complete and the cost was zero.
This is the rack in our rec room shown here in this old photo with my KEF Calinda speakers. Currently my KEF Reference Model Ones are here.
When I decided to set up a system in my office with my KEF Calindas, I needed a simple rack and made this one from left over ambrosia maple. Again took a weekend to complete and the cost was zero.
Both stands are sturdy and will easily support several hundred lbs of gear, although I prefer a minimalist setup.
In my office setup, I only stream my lossless ripped CDs or internet radio from a Mac Mini to an airport express which feeds a combination DAC/preamp.
This is the rack in our rec room shown here in this old photo with my KEF Calinda speakers. Currently my KEF Reference Model Ones are here.
