Main living room system: Unknown brand GW find closed side open back-black cabinet on the left for surround, movie gear. Sauder GW find open rack for silver gear. Forgotten brand chrome & glass stand for plasma, game consoles, center speaker and silver CD, TT, expanders etc, the only bought new in the bunch.

Bedroom racks are original PIONEER 'system' racks from 80's-90's. Goodwill finds total about $45.

Love all the Pioneer gear!!! I need to work on finding more fluoroscan stuff and I just missed out on a pair of $300 HPM-200s a couple weeks ago that I'm still sick about.

My bedroom system. Can't remember the rack mfg, but each shelf sits on tiptoes. It has 3 more shelves but the spacing didn't work out with my gear.

IKEA Franken-Stand:

Consists of (2) LACK TV Stands and (2) LACK end tables. All pieces assembled with construction adhesive and dowels.
Built this yesterday. Original plan was to put the turntable on the ends. Need longer cables for one to reach.

In the basement I have a Sansui GX-7 rack that I picked up at a rummage sale for $10! Next to it is a Ikea Expidit for the SX-1980. Because of the depth of the 1980, I had to add a piece of cultured marble on top that I had lying around for 20 years to keep all 4 legs even.

Upstairs, I needed something to hold the Teac R2R and nothing is available in the market place, so I had to build my own. My wife wanted all the stuff hidden except for when I listen to it so that really made it impossible to buy something. She said she didn’t want the living room to look like a recording studio…… and she said that, like it was a BAD thing? So anyway, I made it so the 2 black cubes inside the oak cab are removable so I can add or adjust shelves as things change down the road. Im not a cabinet maker by any means, but it looks good enough to please the wife, so that’s good enough for me.

The front cover is just held on by Velcro strips so its easy on/off. Also keeps the grandkids from playing with the knobs. They are like magnets to 2 year olds! Solves a lot of problems for under $100.
