Wow, I think in my whole collection I may have 2-3 albums that are actually numbered... it’s not many and I had to pay up for them. One is the Manson trail of blood, the other is a limited pressing of Vertical Horizons 1st album on clear vinyl. Only 700 pressed, mine is in the 600 range, 1111 of the trail of blood and the one I have is 400 something. I like to collect them when I find them in music I like, and can afford. I have a few others but like I said it’s few and far between. One day I’ll be up to speed I’m working at it

How did you like the sound?

I don't know, I havent played them. I might hold them until the Sota Cosmos is here and set up with the SME V. I might hold them as a sealed pair, maybe not. My original plan was to open the Stereo version and keep the Mono sealed.

Not really sure what my plans are for them. The first step was just to get them.

I missed out on the mono version so I picked up a Grundman off of Amazon and it sounds nice.
But to make up for it I bought 2 UHQR stereos so I could keep one and listen to one. Don’t ask me why, I’m not really a collector type but they let us so I did.
I know that some guys talk about original this and that being superior but damn if there’s anything that sounds better than this pressing,,,it must be orgasmic.
I just can’t imagine a better piece of wax.

I got mine too. Was that a two year wait? I thought the Mono was supposed to be limited to 1,000 when I first saw the ad and pulled the trigger. I am keeping the Mono sealed too - for now. I have listened to the Stereo a few times now. A very slight warp on one edge (not a dish).

I don't have any other copies of Axis Bold as Love to compare to but damn, this album sounds good. I can only imagine what it would have been like back in the day to share some 'cid with a few friends and trip balls. That intro is something else. Little Wing? done.

Sign me up for Aqualung! I just hope the wait is not as long.

Yeah that sounds about right, a two year wait. I thought the mono was a 1000 albums also, from what I recall. Have not listened to my stereo copy yet, probably will hold off till the Sota Cosmos gets hear and set up. I am hoping to hear it by the end of the year LOL. I wish I had a regular copy to play while I decide what to do with these two.

Maybe I should wait 5 years and then peddle an unopened pair? Eh who knows.

I might have the original catalog where they launched the release. If it says 1,000 and then they changed it to 1500 after I placed my order, I think they should give me a discount on my next order.

There has to be someone close to you that also bought the albums. It would be a great way to break in the Sota though.
