Intellect
A world made of words
So clear I forget to ask
Did it ever live?
Nature's Loss
The wind howled northward
Breaking down the dunes
To impotent grains of sand,
Scurrying in the dark night,
Looking for a safe refuge.

The Unknown
The dog sniffed the air
Sensing something disturbing.
He slowly rose up,
Cocking his head for answers,
But it did not comfort him.
A New Home
Soon you hold the key
To a space that will be yours
Strange, perhaps, at first
You steadily shape what comes
What stays, what leaves, what begins
Autumn Begins
A single leaf falls
Anticipating the cold.
Wanting to be first
To find it's winter quarters.
Mulch ado about nothing.
