Thanks for all the birthday wishes!
The big 71 today. My wife and daughter have a big party planned for late afternoon. 4 of my kids are coming along with their SOs and our three grandkids plus a few other assorted guests.
My daughter is making sweet and sour meatballs and my wife is doing 2 crockpots of barbecued pork ribs. Sides will be rice and corn on the cob. 2 cakes for dessert plus ice cream. My youngest son's birthday is March 9th so we combine our parties. I'm already being overwhelmed by the smell of the crockpots. I'll put pictures in the Show Us Your Dinner thread.
No thrifting today, but on Tuesday I'm going on a road trip with my buddy, Ronnie the Recluse. I hope you all have a great day!

Hours of boredom
Interrupted by moments
Of abject terror

Home
Ah, Peace and Quiet!
Safe, secure, warm, and content.
Must fly or sail soon.

Aging by the day
Sputtering brain synapses
Appetite intact.

This haiku does capture the essence of "Sailing", as it can transverse the no wind situation to the hold on for dear life in a storm event!
Most viewers tend to focus on the former idyllic side of this sport.
Q
Man's Best Friend
Cold, wet nose snorting
Smelling food scent on fingers
Hoping for a share.
A Feline's 9th Life
Stealthy sneaking up
Pounce and chew the Christmas lights
Plumes of smoke and fur.
