SANCTUARY

Solemn quiet halls
tranquility abounds here,
reprieve from outside.

CONFUSION

Children know much more;
Parents are so ignorant.
SOMEONE is confused.

Here we go again
Russian bear at the border
Ukraine in their sight

[MuseChaser]

CONFUSION 2

Well written falsehoods;
Poorly written facts and truths.
Such a dilemma.

Russian bear at the border
Ukraine in their sight

Well written falsehoods;
Poorly written facts and truths.
Such a dilemma.

Who do you believe?

Difficult to separate at times truth
from those falsehoods.

Lightning bolts arching
Like tempests in a teapot
Harnessed in a globe.

Grandson feels the globe
Shafts of light grab his fingers
He jumps in surprise.

Remembrance

High school football star
went to Nam to save the world
self doubt consumed him
after two tours of duty
Drugs sent him home empty eyed.

[Quadman2]

WOW! Nailed it!

Reminded me of "The Deer Hunter".

Q

[bobsvinyl]

Storm

Leaden morning clouds
The smell of snow fills the air
Waiting to descend.

[bobsvinyl]

Old Age

Slowly navigate
Taking fragile, cautious steps
Try not to tempt fate.

[bobsvinyl]

Australian Kelpie,
Bred to herd sheep and cattle,
Brilliant and insane.

Seven months ago,
Rescued him from young couple.
He drove them crazy.

Now fourteen months old.
A wonderful canine friend,
Constant companion.

A Haiku Trifecta!
