Happy 80th, Linda Ronstadt

[old_tv_nut]

Happy 80th Birthday Linda Ronstadt, thanks for all your music;

and thank you, Thomas Edison for inventing sound recording so we can keep it.

[Mysteryed]

She dominated the 1970s radio waves. My formative years in this hobby!

[meggy]

Happy 80'th!

[jcamero]

I was fortunate enough to see her during the "Mad Love" tour. The P.A. was tuned to her voice, probably the best concert I went to in terms of voice reproduction.

[Bill Ashton]

I did too! Boston Garden

The only woman my wife allows me to have a crush on. Hope you had a wonderful birthday, Linda!

[El Rubio]

When I first met my wife around 1982, she looked like Linda from the 70's. I didn't put the resemblance together until many years later My oldest daughter also resembles her and my mother inlaw who's 86 looks a bit like Linda does now. I like watching videos of Linda Ronstadt singing live. The one below really resembles my wife back in the 80's and is a favorite. Obviously I think Linda's gorgeous and I love her music.

Without Linda there may have not been any Eagles.

The inner sleeve to that LP. It's one of my favorite Linda photos.

There's a tradition at Disneyland called Grad Night at Disneyland, and my girlfriend and I attended it in 1971. Linda Ronstadt was the musical guest with the yet-to-be be named Eagles as her backup band.

This LINK explains that night in detail.

She was so gorgeous back in the day, teen me had such a huge crush on her. When she sang Love Me Tender in the movie FM I nearly melted.

[Swokie63]
