harmon kardon help!!

just bought a Harmon kardon avr 500 for $20, but when i turn it on, it flashes
**protect**. ive tried resetting it already, does anybody have any ideas about things i could do for it?

It probably has blown output transistors. It needs to be repaired.

That is very hard to estimate without doing a complete diagnostic.Just a SWAG $90-100 at least.I have no idea what a technicians time ie labor charge would be or how much component damage has been done.I do all of my own repair and most of that is for personal use equipment.
