I've noticed an uptick in general frustration and anger lately and others seem to be experiencing this as well, as if there's something in the air. In my case it's completely unrelated to politics or social issues- It's really difficult to figure out but I'm ready to explode at the smallest of things. It's actually concerning me. Is this something you have been experiencing yourself?
Maybe we're still trying to get over this crazy COVID thing. It's like a bad hangover.

I find myself having to ‘dig just a little deeper‘ for the optimism I know I should have. I’m SO blessed it’s uncanny, I just have to keep reminding myself of this - the ole “count your blessings” analogy really holds. Slowly backing away from the news (that you generally can’t influence anyway), spending more time with music (who’d a thought, right?), spending more time in the sun/nature, focus on your own brand of spirituality, and hanging with your ever optimistic dogs (cats?), family/friends - helps. Exercise also tends to help put things into better perspective. I’m trying to start an exercise routine next with a new (used) “comfort bike” for these aging bones (we’ll see how THAT goes)!

Like many things in life, I think you have to start with the mental toolbox that you’ve been given - to give you a hand doing what you already know will tend to help, or stopping doing what you deep down know doesn’t. If your own toolbox isn’t enough, seek additional help - there’s no shame in reaching out (even though men, in particular, generally really suck at this)! The “news” that I referenced above, states that depressive disorders are increasingly rampant in the general population. Stress takes its toll, in whatever form it presents itself (anger, etc.), and it tends to pile on top of other stressors - cumulatively it can cause real damage.

Take care of yourself my brothers and sisters, we’re all in this big ole world together - it’s important!

It really cant be helped. Unless you live in a cave, the feeling of unease is driven by the constant fear perpetuated by the media (social or msm). Though you may not be directly engaged, others our and that feeling feeds on itself. People are shorter (in temper not height), more emotional. Just like a dog senses energy given off by people, people sense it also. War, the economy, health, politics, natural disaster...all incessantly pushed real time at people. It was not the same when in the days of the only news was papers or 6pm, people pretty much had 23 hours a day to decompress. Now ? Its minute by minute even when you dont want to know

Indeed, this seems to be the case. There is a lot of technology that should be revisited, as well as the reward structures in place for social status.

People are still adjusting from the change of once living in a real world to now living in a virtual world. Things will calm down once the gas lighting techniques of the algorithms improve.
