You would probably be better off looking for a digital eq with a headphone jack. Or maybe something from Behringer like the DEQ2496 with a line out that you could connect to a headphone amp. I haven't seen any true headphone amps with an inbuilt digital eq.

If that can be programmed wirh the same multichannel protocols as a hearing aid, including the channel to chanmel dynamic correction, that's exactly what I have in mind for starters.
What I have in mind is a way for the hearing impaired to enjoy headphone listening with the same advantages as modern hearing aids provide.
If this project intrigues anyone go for it as I'm not really computer literate. You can start with Edgar Villchur's research into how hearing works and how ReSound was founded to develop the technology to effectively deal with hearing loss with more than just simple equalized amplification.
For this app we don't need noise cancelling or dynamic compression unless the individual's hearing loss profile requires compression. Otherwise the modern technical advantages will provide a more natural experience than just making everything louder thru a simple eq.
