I used to listen to them on Saturdays, on my drive into work (that's what you do on Saturday, if you work retail). Funniest line I ever heard was when a woman called in to get their opinion on buying a used Fiat.
After they stopped laughing, one of them said, "Well, lady, you know the saying rust never sleeps? In a Fiat it doesn't even take cat naps."
RIP, Tom, and thanks for the laughter.

Terrific stuff -- I had my old Chevy Cavalier fixed at their shop once when I worked in Cambridge -- it was right around the corner (literally) from the admin building of the company I worked for at the time.
Please, nobody take this the wrong way- but after seeing family members with Alzheimers and other dementia, it is hard to not wonder if they're better off just passing on quickly, than lingering in that state.
How hard must it be, to know, for fleeting moments, what you used to be able to do with your brain, and realizing that it's all slipping away- and there's nothing you can do about it?
In all, I hope his family can find some solace in his struggle being finally finished- and hope that they can remember how he WAS in his GREATNESS in his prime, and not so much dwell on what he must have been reduced to, in his final hours. They deserve to have good memories of him...

I am sad to hear that.
I spent many Saturday mornings working in the late eighties, early nineties. Listening to their one hour show made time really fly by. It make my job that much nicer.
