Heads for a Technics RS-1500 US?

Is there any chance in getting replacement heads for this RtR?

Any help is welcome.

Not originals.

Subs are available, but require mechanical mods to mount. What do you need? Record or play? 2T or 4T?

I think that I'll going to need both. Mine is a Rs-1500us with the RP-2204 head set.

JRF magnetics has replacements. Send them the entire head block and they can get it set up. Not cheap, but deck is likely worth it if it's boards are also recapped.

Technics used the same heads (headblock arrangement different) as Otari did for their MX 5050 B II. JRF Magnetics can set them up and align it if you send them the head block. The deck's worth this.

+1 What all the previous posters have stated.

If you are going to replace the heads "on that particular reel to reel" I would highly recommend that you get it done professionally (just my opinion here).

Yes putting money into that Technics RS-1500 reel to reel would be a significant investment (if you look at it in that perspective.....that is if you can $$ afford too?).
Also re-cap the entire machine.
Once done you'll have one magnificent reel to reel and you can always sell it to recoup your $$.
