Hello from Serbia

There is big change in my system. I am deprived of my beloved HH Scott PRO 100. :( I could not obtain original crossover nor even schematic to reconstruct one. So I had to leave them to somebody who can try to do it.
Fortunately new owner is HH Scott collector and fun. He is willing to restore them in a factory condition. He made a lot of wood work to make them as new.
My new speakers are
1plus1_fronts.jpg

Beautiful, excellent and SMALL. WAF = infinite
From 135 liters I switched to less than 5 liters

Some new stuff I recently obrtained

I allways desired big VU meters. Finaly I got ones. (Not Macintosh but I like them).
It is well known Lotte LA 1200 Amplifier sold as Uher, Palladium, Hantor and many other names. Inside is STK 4048 based amplifier. Right now my is on total refresh.
Color of VU face is beautifull and movement (in dark) is mesmerizing.

Today I bought preamp for it, Not black, not matching size but could not resist for 15€.. Hope it will be in sinergy with Palladium. Anybody have service manual for Aurex SY-C12?

Some time before I fall in love with mini DENON receiver and CD player model DRA f101 and DCD f101

Does anybody know some tweak for little DENON? OPA rolling? Something more sirious?

I realy do not know schould I post this here or in some DIY section or Icepower ( or D class amplifier) section.
Any how, let it be here.
After a long hesitation I decided to try Icepower amplifier. My pick is Icepower250A. Small , powerfull ( enough for me) 250W on 8 Ohms, came in full package: Power Supply, two amplifier modules, all needed cables.
s-l1600.jpg
Hesitation was about origin. Is it fake or original? But looking pictures of this and from Icepower site, I was prity shure that this id good product.
I ordered it and upon receive discovered quite decent product. Very good two layer PCB, very tidy and look solid. PSU iz China made but also very good product.
As all can see, assembling is trivia. Just like LEGO briks. Just conect cables and it is assumed to work. DIY project for apsolute begginers.
As suplier mentioned just need some radiator ( not specified size) and to take care of short connection on output as there are no protection.
So all I have to do is proper housing. I found some radiator, later it shows that is oversized as amplifier is cold as ice.

Next is to obtain case. I wanted as small as possible, good looking, solid maked. Decided not to make one but to use some factory made.
I found cheep preamt/tuner + power amplifier kombo for peanuts. Decide to sacrifice amplifier and use housing. It is pitty as amplifier is (was) working well.
Making housing by myself was out of discusion as I couldnt make it so good, so well loking, in short time and for less money.
Case is proper size 22cm*32cm*7cm, with solid aluminium front plate, very good condition, no scratches. I throw away amplifier from inside:( and just kept power button, with standby elctronic and two LEDs indicating state (red - standby, green - ON)

All IcePower stuff fit perfectly inside case.

Mixing vintage ( Hirschmann terminals) and modern ( carbon)
Check everything before listening test.

Few miliVolts on output.:jump:Ready for speakers.
Now listening .

On first tones it is clear that IcePower is very good product. Sound is great, wide and deep. Bass is controled. A lot of details exactly positioned in space.
A lot of power and very easy plaing. First I tried music apropriate for such power. Yello. Ramstain ( dint know I had it), Grace Jones, Moloki, Pink Floyd. Very authoritative performance. All the house shaking but not a hint of distortion.
Next day i tried classical music. Very clean , timber is unbeliveble, piano is ringing in my room, Violin is unbeliveble presenced . (Sory for my English language that can not express all my impresions).
All the music is life full and chill. If one listen the music on some system and when foot is tapping the floor in a rythm, it is good sign that system is good. As I write this, my foot is tapping and my head shaking.
Do anybody want bigger sign that IcePower is excellent product.
This is bang for money.

After some listening in my B system I can elaborate some expresions.
My B system for this testing purposes consists from:
Tannoy 603 (86 dB 6 Ohms nominal 4 Ohms minimum)
HP Prodeskmini - Tidal - JLSounds with AK4396 DAC (DIY) -Aurex SY-C12 preamplifier - Icepower250A power amplifier (DIY)
There is tube buffer for DAC (also DUY) but not used up to now in testing.
B setup.jpg
Aurex + Icepower instead of regular B setup members DENON DRA-F101 DCD-F101 on the left. Audio Alchemy DAC in the Box (heavily modified) on top of Denon.

As I mentioned before sounds was very powerful, authoritative, bass is good controled and defined, and high are clear and very detailed.
Now I listened some LIVE performances.
Again good controled bas, much crystal clear details well defined in space, but new impresion is that everything is more LIVE (in LIVE recordings). Muzicians entered my room.
For now I am oversatisfied with IcePower and I can sugest everybody in a quest for small, powerfull and QUALITY amplifier to try it.
