I hope to reach audio retirement. 
One valve amplifier, several SS amplifiers and now IcePower with Audience 1+1 and pair of Tannoy ... I have no more strength to discover new opportunities. Just to listen music, no devices any more.
Regarding kind of music I prefer, most of time and most enjoy is in classical music.
Then world music, Cuban, tango, Spain gitar, gipsy
Of course blues and rock but much less.
never, ever HM, Trance, RAP,....

I am trying to get along with this forum.
Few last days I tested IcePower with different preamps and after all I am oversatisfied with my amplifier. Best 130$ I spend on HiFi.
Now I want to try some tube preamp with it.
Can anybody suggest me good (DIY) tube preamp? Or maybe if discussed on forum to show link?

No decent audiophile should be without tube amplifier. And what is tube amplifier without alnico speakers? So I decided to obtain one pair. When saw isophone drivers I could not resist. And here is my new toy.
50 years old Loewe Opta LO25.
First sonic impressions were that half a century ago there were a astonish sound. Miracle sound that can shame many nowadays systems.
Timber, presence and space distribution are unbelievable.
Hardly wait to test on tube amplifier. ( For now just tried them on same age PHILIPS receiver)
For a 50 years old speaker not so bad condition. One white mark on polish from water (alcohol) or heat.
But I solved it. Any one wonder how to remove white stains from wood is free to ask. I will be happy to help

I need somebody to stop me buying small tinny vintage components.When I see one I must buy it
last catch Akai UC-U3E. Unfortunately not working. One uPC1188H amp chip is missing.
Chip ordered. If replacing help I will have tiny small amplifier. 15W
If no, it will be nice preamplifier.

Not at all... it's a very friendly way of saying welcome. Nice speakers. Nice construction, very well built and solid looking drivers. Would like to hear them.

I must inform my forum friends that I have done some modifications in one of my systems.
I switched to so called, lifestyle approach.
My setup is now only Arylic streamer Up2Stream Pro V3 as source and pair of active speakers. Beolab 4000 MKII ( IcePower based speakers)
I am very satisfied with sound.WAF is + infinite.
Due to very small RCA input on Beolab, I can not use any fancy interconnect I have ( Chardas, Accuphase Anyversary 40, Nordost Blue heaven,...) so I have to use ordinary low cost interconnect. Surprisingly, Beolab is not sensitive to interconnects. Sings very good with cheap cables.
I installed very simple OP AMP based preamp ( LME49720) and power it with +-15V source. Sound is much better than without. Probably because of bigger swing.
