This OCS Speaker Repair shows an Altec model 14 woofer and it really doesn't look at all like the OP's woofer.

Somehow, I'm getting a Japanese woofer vibe, the OP's woofer has some JBL frame copy to it for some reason, can't remember who has a cast frame like this though. The tab off the flat part with two holes reminds me of JBL's push terminal mounting.

Orange County Speaker is also INCORRECT.

33785 or 033785 is the model 15, model 9, and Santana II woofer.

Model 14, and the 9842 monitor use the 34633 woofer. While the 14 woofer does look similar to the 15 woofer, it has a visibly larger magnet, and larger diameter voice coil.

This thread talks about the 14 and 15 woofers also, so did he also post pics of the 15 woofers instead of the 14 woofers?

Yes, the 34633 Model 14 woofer does have a 13 1/2 frame......

This guy has the right woofers, 1st one I've seen, but claims they are ESS woofers, can't find any confirmation. eBay item number: 171166575638

Will somebody post a pic of the correct Altec model 14 woofers and then we'd have this done?

Your first clue is push on terminals, found on the 14 woofer, the 15 has the same red/black button spring terminals as most Altecs through the 70's used.

Also note in your post #25 the clear EIA and date code. 391 is Altec, date code is 13th week of 1981, spot on for a model 14/9842 monitor.

Interesting, since this is exactly the information i've been trying to drive home since my first post. I have been well aware of these facts for several years, and Bill is not always spot on with his information, hence the AKer that claims Bill told him a 413 ia a 12 inch woofer.

Now, for the ESS woofer. I've been holding the baggage on this one. But, that frame looks EXACTLY like the woofer frames from my AMT towers, EXCEPT, my woofer frames were stamped steel. However, the shape of the basket down to very small details is extremely similar.
