I just got an old turntable, idler wheel drive, and it just goes too fast on 33s and 45s. What would make the motor run too fast? I could understand slow, but not this.
Help! Turntable spinning too fast...

OK, couple of guesses
Guess #1 - this table was made for regions of the world with 50Hz power and you live in a place with 60Hz power.
Guess #2 - someone before you replaced the idler wheel with one that is slightly too large.
Well, these ARE guesses after all.

FALSE ALARM!!! I checked under the hood and the pitch control was dislodged some way. Must have happened in shipping. Anyway, i popped it back in place and NOW I can adjust it. Whew
