On a quest for high fidelity
Hey guys,

Does anyone know anything at all about this brand?

I'm looking at an HH Scott R237 but have no idea if this is any good as a product.

I think it is a R327 which is around 25wpc. A solid performer but not as popular or common as the likes of Pioneer , Marantz, etc. I have a R357 with a blown channel and a couple of Integrateds that work well for me.

HH Scott Stereomaster tube receiver are excellent. Shame the name Scott became plastered all over Kmart cheap audio gear. I would say the tube stuff is right up there with Fisher.

My best HH Scott tuner is solid state. And no less than Terry DeWick agrees with me about it's performance. He also aligned and recapped it. Early pre-1973 HH Scott transistor gear was more than good performance wise, even if it was not as commonly available. And in many ways, it was as good or better than pre 1971 Fisher before Avery sold the company.
