My LK-72 doesn’t have hum adjust pot. Was it stock in later iterations? Mine is dead quiet however...

The four 12AX7´s are DC heated BTW (-48 or 46 VDC divided for the preamp tubes).

I have a question for the LK-72 (or similar Scott amp) owners here: How hot does your power transformer get? After about 2 hours, mine gets hot enough where I can only leave my hand on it for a second or two before I burn my hand. I was wondering if that's normal for these amps?

Mine runs very warm.
So warm that I've considered removing it from the wood cabinet before using it again. One of the output tubes has little to no ventilation when inside the cabinet.

Mine doesn't have a cabinet, so ventilation is good. The output transformers get pretty warm because they're so close to the output tubes... but it's the power transformer I'm concerned about. Last night when I had it on, it got up to 65C (measured with a heat gun) before I turned it off. That's definitely too hot to hold a hand on...

I don't touch when powered up or a way to test temp so do not know how to compare.
Do run a small laptop computer cooler fan with a wall wart pulling air away from when units in operation most times.

I typically use one of these guys. You can get them from Mouser, DigiKey etc. and they are inexpensive. They have a hole in the center that you can use to mount them. You can bend the terminals into a loop to solder wires to. You only need something like 200 volt @ 4 amps. That may be overkill but they are just about all the same size.
